A downloadable Aberrant Escape for Windows

Hello there, I am MaskeDev.

I have created my first finished game which I entered into Acerola's game jam. It is a 2D platformer in a pixel-art style where you play as a knight who needs to escape an aberrant world. Instead of finding keys, you need to find locks to open your way to freedom. The game has four types of enemies, each with their own logic that obstructs your path. However, in this world, you feel immortal because the enemies cannot physically harm you. Instead, every time you get hit, a chunk of your mental sanity depletes (which depletes automatically as time passes by). You need to finish each level quickly without getting hurt too much or letting the insanity kill you.

From a technical perspective, I made this 2D project using Unreal Engine 5.3, and I only used Blueprints. I am still a beginner, so I don't know what a source code is or how to upload it.

I will post a link to my first YouTube video soon, where I will share my experience of creating this game. Thank you for playing the game, and I hope you enjoy it! :)

The knight sprite and the knight animations look amazing! The movement and gameplay also feel good and generally fluid and fair. 2 things I didnt really love though

1. The different sprites feel like they pretty varying pixel densities so they clash a little with each other.

2. The gameplay is good but it feels a little to much like other 2D pixel games. Its solid but feels like its been done before. Maybe its missing some type "gimmick"(I dont really know though. It plays surprisingly well :)

Thanks for the feedback, for my next game i'll try do something more original
